Conventions: Speaker Proposals

The website facilitates the process of accepting proposals to speak at the convention, not only providing information to prospective speakers but also by allowing the following:

  1. Proponents are able to submit proposals for presentations at the convention. All of the information is captured in a database which is used to feed the password-protected admin section of the website. It is possible to capture as much or as little information about a proposal as you need. Emails are also automatically sent to the proponent and (if you choose) to one or more persons in your organizing committee.
  2. As the proposals come in, the committee can review them on the admin section of the website choosing the best ones. With the click of a button, an e-mail is automatically sent to the proponent who can access the website again and decide whether to accept or decline the committee’s contract.
  3. Once the contract has been accepted by the speaker, the proposal becomes a session.
